Alright… good morning to all 3,108 of you! 📈📈📈
Connor here. Happy March Madness. Fun fact about me… I played college basketball. My claim to fame is that I drained a three in Steph Curry’s face when I played at Furman, but I also was on a UGA team that made the tournament in 2010. We lost a heartbreaker by 3 in the first round...
James here. Just wanted to add that Connor also had one career dunk which happened just after breaking his nose, so he was wearing a batman style facemask. What a moment.
P.S. - If you need a laugh, check out Connor’s “trick shot” video with Charles Barkley 🤣
Anyway, let’s get into this week’s edition of the Anthem 👇

The Anthem is made possible in part by El Tesoro, a neighborhood treasure serving good quality food at reasonable prices. See The Menu.
🍍 The White Mustang is back at El Tesoro. Pineapple-infused mezcal, fresh lime, a touch of lavender, and that smooth coconut finish.
🏀 Get in the March Madness mood at Midway Pub. Enter your bracket into their competition and win a $100 gift card. Also, here’s our “where to watch sports” guide.
🌮 La Semilla just announced they're doing lunch Tues-Thurs from 11a-2:30p. Takeout and delivery only through Toast and DoorDash.
🌯 If you haven’t had Poco Loco’s breakfast burritos yet, let’s change that. They’ve got a new menu every weekend featuring both a meat and a veggie option.
🌶️ Little Bear is serving Raw Beef 65, a tartare inspired by Chicken 65. It's got scallion raita, apple turmeric purée, chili rice krisps, and is “absolutely perfect for the changing of the seasons”.
🍸 Little Tart After Dark is back Friday & Saturday. Expect a new special menu and delicious cocktails all weekend.
🥪 The Meatball Hero is back at Staplehouse. Looks amazing.
🫒 Banshee is now serving XO Olives + Focaccia with Castelvetrano and Kalamata olives prepared in a vegan xo brine with black vinegar and roasted garlic, along with pickled kumquats, piquanté peppers, and grilled focaccia.
🍗 Bona Fide Deluxe dropped a new Irish Spice Chicken sandwich inspired by the Irish-Chinese takeaway dish. It's got fried chicken thighs, sweet peppers, onions, cabbage, fried potato sticks, curry mayo, Chinese 5 spice vinaigrette, on a garlic butter toasted Alon's Bakery roll. Available now through Sunday. Remind me to never write the Anthem while hungry. - James
🍾 Girl Diver is celebrating their 6th anniversary next Wednesday, with live music and drink specials.
🌮 Casi Cielo, a new Aritsanal Mexican restaurant boasting a top 25 mezcal bar in the USA opens on the Beltline on March 23rd.
⚾ Take a bus to opening day of the Braves next week with Atkins Park - they’ve got 30 tickets left for their annual tradition that includes a bus ride, tickets, and booze.

Anthem Introductions are brought to you by Accomplished. Steph Hanson and her team of trusted home managers are helping busy Atlantans take back their lives by handling home organization, meal prep, laundry, and other time-consuming tasks. Learn more.

Poor Hendrix. Pretty much anytime my wife and I get a date night opportunity, we're there. I've also been posting up during happy hour with a martini and a good book.

Introducing… Cooper
Neighborhood: East Atlanta Village
About: Cooper is a lab/greyhound, or as the internet calls it "Greyador". He is super calm and cuddly at home, but once he is outside and has freedom, he is running wild playing with anything and anyone who will play with him. He loves long walks on the Beltline, romantic dinners at Ladybird, and drinks with friends at Breaker Breaker.
Special Talent/Fun Fact: He loves swimming but won’t step foot in a pool. He also just had his 5th birthday this month
Thank you to Christine for sharing Cooper with us.
