Welcome to the East Atlanta Anthem guide to watching sports on the east side. We’re pretty big sports fans over here and figured it would be helpful to consolidate some of the best places to watch big games in the area.
Just a reminder… we try to keep our coverage area to the pocket of Atlanta between downtown and Decatur. We have to draw the line somewhere!
Huge footprint with plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. They keep the TVs organized with schedules printed below each one on NFL Sundays and will pump in game audio for really big games.
This is where your authors have watched the last two SEC Championships.
A great option for those of you in the Old 4th Ward/Inman Park areas. When they opened, the menu was a bit gamey, but they’ve shifted to much more traditional sports bar fare.
When I was renting in that neighborhood, this felt like one of the only places I could count on to watch… big games. - Connor
New Realm has plenty of TVs in their ground floor dining room, but they also have several on the rooftop. We definitely recommend grabbing a beer and watching March Madness and NBA Playoff games on the roof.
Classic neighborhood bar with solid food and lots of TVs. It will fill up for big games and is always a good time. They do have dart boards if that’s your thing.
Surprisingly, one of the few places on the Beltline* for sports fans. They always have gameday specials during football season. Chiringa next door also has several TVs.
*I can’t, in good faith, recommend Brewdog even though it should be an incredible spot to watch the game. They often don’t have the TVs on the right channels or are on delays from using YouTube TV. - Connor
The Albert doesn’t have the biggest TVs or the most seating, but they do show almost every game. Great bartenders and beer list. They also roll out a portable TV to a large tent in a patio/parking lot situation for a fresh air option.
