Exciting times in Atlanta folks! Sunday morning is everyone’s favorite day of the year: Daylight Savings. You may set your clocks correctly, but your body clocks will always betray you.

Luckily, the weather is warming up, and there’s plenty to do in East Atlanta.

Happy Birthday to my partner in crime here at the Anthem, James Carr (3/9)!!!

Reminder: you can earn a Bday shoutout by either being a cofounder or simply referring two friends to the Anthem.

Now let’s get into this week’s edition of the Anthem 👇

The Anthem is made possible in part by El Tesoro, a neighborhood treasure serving good quality food at reasonable prices. See The Menu.

🌮 If you’re anything like us, the patio at El Tesoro is calling your name louder and louder as the weather gets nicer and nicer. Also, if you find yourself on the west side, their new spot at Lee + White looks incredible and is opening soon.

🟡 Coffee Was Black dropped their first capsule collection of 2026, dedicated to 3 years of serving the Atlanta community. In-store purchases of 2+ items come with a free drink.

🍩 Revolution Doughnuts didn’t forget to put out a new monthly menu. March flavors include strawberries, cherries, lemon, lavender, carrots, and more.

🍕 Lloyd’s pie of the month for March is the Pearris Beuller, featuring herb oil, mozzarella, prosciutto, pear, and balsamic glaze.

🍔 Evergreen posted an IG Story about adding Cheeseburger Turnovers to their pastry menu. They better not be joking! -Connor

Taproom rolled out their spring menu this week, and if you love strawberries, you should definitely check it out.

📚 Not to be left out, Storyteller Goods also launched their spring menu this week with drinks inspired by The Velveteen Rabbit, Little Women, and The Secret Garden.

🥭 Sleepy Mango and Ponder Coffee are popping up at Press Shop this weekend.

🍺 3 Taverns Brewery is celebrating Georgia Beer Day on Saturday at both locations with a pint and free commemorative pint glass.

🍷 Wahoo Wines hosts wine tastings every Thursday. Check out Italian neighborhood favorites today and Portuguese wines next week.

🤠 Side Saddle Wine Bar casually introduced SEVEN seasonal cocktails for their spring menu. And if that wasn’t enough, they’re doing lunch from 11a-5p daily.

🍰 Little Bear has a new dessert that’s a perfect blend of the “pre-spring” energy right now, featuring apples, strawberries, chocolate, and peppercorn sorbet.

🍣 Ruby Chow’s just added quite the selection of sushi to their menu. The menu was already great. This is almost unfair.

🔒 Rising Son is ending it’s 10 year run in Avondale Estates after they were unable to negotiate favorable terms on their lease renewal. At least some of their menu will be available at Babygirl when they open in East Lake in April.

🍵 Little Tart brought back Strawberry Matcha: Oat milk sweetened with house syrup made from perfectly ripe strawberries, topped with a shot of creamy matcha and freeze-dried strawberries. Now available at all locations.

🧑‍🍳 Now Hiring: Gene’s needs prep cooks, line cooks, and servers with bartending experience | Sugar Loaf is looking for baristas, line cooks, & bakers | Uncle Phills could use cooks & cashiers.

We’re thinking about cooking up some IRL extensions of the Anthem. Working title: Anthem Adventures.

Let’s take a break from our screens together. What do you think?

If we hosted an in-person event or two would you come out and hang?

Think happy hour at a local bar/restaurant or a coffee shop meetup.

Introducing… Daisy

Neighborhood: Ormewood

About: Daisy is a lazy mut who enjoys snoozing during the workday, with occasional leg stretches and potty breaks. She hates Mondays, trash day! Happiest part of the work week is when her sister gets home from daycare, snacks!

Special Talent: Sleeping

Thank you to Ryan for sharing Daisy with us. I also love sleeping and hate trash day. But snoozing during the workday is where I draw the line, ma’am. -Connor
