Welcome to the East Atlanta Anthem’s Farmers Markets Guide. James has worked with local farmers and farmers markets for years, so naturally, he wanted to make it easier for people to find their nearest or new favorite market on the East side.
All of these markets partner with Wholesome Wave Georgia to double SNAP/EBT - making healthy, local food affordable for all Georgians (except the VaHi market, although they plan to partner with WWG soon).
Important Note: While some markets operate rain or shine, some do not. If you’re unsure, we highly recommend checking their social media before heading out.
Just a reminder, we try to keep our coverage area to the pocket of Atlanta between downtown and Decatur. We have to draw the line somewhere!
Sundays, 9-12 | Year Round
One of Atlanta most popular markets, located at The Beacon. Plenty of farmers and hot food vendors, plus loads of pantry items by local makers. One of the larger markets ATL. Managed by Community Farmers Markets (CFM), who operate several markets in ATL.

Sundays, 8:30 - 12 | Spring - Fall
There’s been a market in VaHi for several years, but it’s changed locations and owners a few times. Worth checking their Instagram before making plans. They’ve got a ton of vendors but don’t always have a ton of farmers.

Saturdays, 9 - 1 | Year Round
Including this one even though it’s barely considered the East side and there’s a bigger emphasis on market than farmers. Great fun, cool vendors - a good one to bring friends and family from out of town. A day at the park is always fun.
