Ok, let’s get into this week’s Anthem 👇

The Anthem is made possible in part by El Tesoro, a neighborhood treasure serving good quality food at reasonable prices.

🌯 Friendly reminder: El Tesoro does Taco Tuesday. And Birria Thursday.

📋 Heads up: Heritage — coming soon to Summerhill — is now accepting reservations. Last I checked, the nearest open seat was on 9/22… but that may be old news by the time you read this!

🍔 More good news for Summerhill: Smiley’s Burger Club will take over the former How Crispy location on 10/1. Smiley’s has been on my list for awhile and I plan to be there on opening day! Not only have I heard great things, but the owner Ean is awesome - James

🍕 Speaking of openings, Spina Pizza opens today at the Atlanta Dairies after about 5 years of delays. Look for old world pizza and great wine.

🍔 Southern Belle says the A-Town Burger won't be around much longer. It runs Wednesdays and Thursdays only, so plan accordingly.

🥖 Bona Fide Deluxe is running The Butler through Sunday: roasted rosemary chicken, garlic white sauce, mozzarella and provolone, spring mix, roasted red peppers, and sun dried tomatoes on an Alon's Tuscan hoagie roll.

These Bona Fide specials start on Wednesdays and end on Sundays. I went on Tuesday and every other person tried to order the weekly special only to be heartbroken. I was there for my usual… the Hot Italian- Connor

🌮 Jolene Jolene just launched weekly specials. First up: birria tacos with consommé for dipping.

🍊 The Essquirt at Recuerdos is a zero-proof Paloma with housemade grapefruit cordial and a habanero kick, served matcha or spro. Summer drinks run through September 28.

🍰 The "Sweet" in Sweet Auburn BBQ earned its keep this week. There's a rotating slushie that changes flavors weekly, and a case of layer cakes to pick from.

🥯 East Pole Coffee is now serving Brooklyn Bagel Deli at their Plaza on Ponce location. Sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel, alongside the coffee you were already there for.

🍻 New Realm rolled out a new happy hour on the Beltline, Monday through Friday from 4 to 7. Canned beers are $5.50, cocktails are $7, and food starts at $7 for loaded fries, fried brussels, or queso.

🦐 My wife and I went to Poor Hendrix for a snack and a drink, and she nearly changed up our entire evening gameplan when she saw the Thai style poached shrimp on the menu. Cooler heads prevailed but we will certainly be back soon. - James

She can be a little shy at first, but once you've earned her trust, you've got a best friend for life.

Fun Facts: Ruthless starts every day with a walk on the Atlanta Beltline, believes standing up for hugs is a perfectly acceptable greeting, and is a proud alum of Adopt A Golden Atlanta.

Thank you to Caren for sharing Ruthless with us.
