What’s up East Atlanta? After big weekends for the Super Bowl and Valentine’s Day, Connor and I chatted on Tuesday morning and both saw there was quite a bit less to share this week… and then created one of the most packed Anthems yet. Turns out there’s always lots happening in East Atlanta 😎

👩‍🍳 Bread and Butterfly is hosting a Sunday Supper meal honoring Chef Edna Lewis, a quiet revolutionary who reminded America that Black culinary traditions are the foundation of its table.

📽 One of the chefs of the Sunday Supper is Chef Demetrius Brown, who’s opening a restaurant called Heritage. They’ve launched a cool, behind the scenes miniseries about the making of Heritage on their Instagram page here.

🍔 Smash Burger at SoNat? Chef Duane Nutter breaks down his new burger that’s only available during Thursday Happy Hour from 4 to 6 PM. Note: Unclear whether it’s just today or all Thursdays.

☕ Finca To Filter released peanut butter cookies in honor of George Washington Carver, and 20% of sales will be donated to Navigate, a workforce development organization focused on culinary training and advancement, founded by a Black woman. PS, they’re also hiring.

🧑‍🌾 The Deer and Dove is launched a Farmer Dinner Series starting next Wednesday, inviting a different farmer to the table for a welcome cocktail and a family style meal.
