Last week, Connor and I sat down for lunch at Vela Park’s new food hall (PSA: Southern Belle’s stall is not yet open) with friend of the Anthem Kavin, who educated us about the Cloud Appreciation Society.
By chance, it was the second conversation in as many days about Georgia clouds.
Anyway, we sat through the next few minutes mesmerized by the moving mountains in the sky. This time of year, the clouds are truly incredible.
At least until they bring rain, thunder and lightning — a seemingly daily occurrence right now.

🥪 Bona Fide’s sandwich of the week is the Big Back Basic BBQ Sandwich. House smoked & thinly sliced pork butt tossed in house made BBQ sauce, topped with coleslaw & pickled jalapeños, all piled high on a toasted Alon’s hoagie roll.
🍺 The Pub @ EAV dropped a new dinner menu full of global small plates, including Cuban Pop Tarts, Tom Yum Wings, and a scotch egg served in an edible nest. They also just added Wednesday trivia, which we've added to our trivia guide.
🔒 Victory Sandwich Bar in Decatur has closed. They’re rebranding as an American-Italian restaurant and bar, Besto that will open next week on July 28. The lunch menu will include Italian-style sandwiches, salads, and coffee. Dinner will feature entrees like meatball subs, eggplant parm, chicken Milanese, and antipasto salads.
