š° Little Tart has two new frozen drinks at their Grant Park location. One features cantaloupe, tequila, cardamom, cinnamon & lemon. The other is made with white rum, whole lime, and sweetened condensed milk.

Generally, the events section is for things happening this upcoming weekend. Occasionally weāll throw in some events that just announced dates or began selling tickets in what weāre tentatively calling this āOn the Horizonā section in case you want to plan ahead.
šāāļø 8/2 & 8/23 - Your authors have our eyes on a pair of 5Ks coming up⦠James is dangerously close to registering for the Run for East Lake 5k & Fun Run (8/2). The route goes through the East Lake Golf Course(!) and the event benefits the East Lake Foundation. Connor may register for the 23rd Annual Run for The Park 5k (8/23), if only just to get the race shirt, featuring an original design by Greg Mike. Funds raised support the Grant Park Conservancy.

šļø East Atlanta Village is still looking for a few more hosts for the EAV Strut Porchfest on September 27th. If you have a home or business in the neighborhood and would be willing to host a band/bands, click here.
šļø Pool season is coming to an end in ATL. Public pools begin closing after 7/27, with four pools moving to weekend-only schedules through August.
š„¤ Coca-Cola announced plans to roll out a version of Coke made with cane sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup this fall. Canāt wait? Mexican Coke already contains cane sugar and is currently available in the US.
š„ļø Georgia Tech students built an app to help unhoused people find food, shelter, and aid quickly ā and is already being deployed in DeKalb County.
š¤ The AJC interviewed Atlanta rapper Jeezy ahead of his Saturday show at The Fox. The show is part of Jeezyās Orchestra Tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album: Letās Get It: Thug Motivation 101. The cheapest ticket on the secondary market for Saturdayās show is $572ā¦
