🏡 What part of Atlanta is home?
I live in East Atlanta but Kikwood has been my work home for 10 years!
💼 What do you do?
I'm an entrepreneur that's been invested in the local community beginning with my law practice in Kirkwood in 2016. I made a decision to step away from law to focus on a new path, and opened Soberish in 2023 - a non-alcoholic bottle shop and cannabis boutique.
Soberish was inspired by my personal journey of using holistic wellness products, herbal remedies, adaptogens, nootropics, CBD and THC. I've created an educational space aimed at supporting sober and healthy lifestyles, and especially destigmatizing cannabis use as it relates to wellness and promoting an overall healthier way of life.
📍 A local place more people should know about?
Soberish, duh.
🍽️ Best meal you've had on the East side in the last month?
Vickery's.
🗓️ If a friend were visiting for one day, where would you take them?
Starting at Taproom for the most perfect coffee concoction. Of course we would do a spin at Soberish to pick up fun drinks and gummies and pop into Fig & Flower for some clean makeup. We'd do some more shopping at the Ballog for local goods, and maybe get a mani pedi at Indigo (all of these are women-owned Kirkwood businesses by the way!). I would head over to Poco Loco for a quick lunch, and top it all off with a walk on the Beltline and then get ready for dinner at Banshee.
❤️ What made you choose this neighborhood (or why you stayed)?
I love Intown Atlanta and East Atlanta has become my home for the past 5 years. It's so special and the people / community are amazing.
🚶 One thing you love about living on this side of town.
Being able to walk to have a short drive to anything I need.
😊 A small thing about your neighborhood that brings you joy.
The people : )
✨ A business or person on this side of town who deserves more love?
Indigo Wellness in Kirkwood.
🏘️ What does this side of town get right that other parts of Atlanta don't?
Local, small businesses - especially woman-owned! We have a lot of them, and it matters.
