Introducing… Demi
Neighborhood: Edgewood
About: We adopted Demi in October 2024 as I found her on Memorial Drive after finishing my run. Through Social Media we quickly found her owner's daughter, who was looking for a new home for her. Demi had cancer throughout her body and the NextDoor community rallied and raised several thousand dollars for her cancer surgeries. She is now cancer-free and everyone who meets her LOVES her!
Special Talent: She's almost 15 years old and she runs around like a new puppy!
Thank you to Susan for sharing Demi with us.

📗 The AJC is back with another great profile, this time highlighting 6 indie bookstores around Atlanta. Check the quick read on IG or the full shebang on their website.
🐼 Two giant pandas — Ping Ping and Fu Shuang — are heading to the Atlanta Zoo (timing unclear). Pandas have not been featured in Atlanta since an agreement with China ended in 2024.
📽 Netflix started filming in Summerhill yesterday and they’re back today - be on the lookout for camera crews and weird traffic patterns. Your favorite businesses in the neighborhood are still open!
⛳ Ponce City Market has redesigned the 18-hole mini golf course on their rooftop. Pro tip: during “Tee Time” — 3 - 5 pm during the week — you can get ½ off mini golf and a $3 drink.
✈ You may soon be able to catch an “autonomous pod” to the Atlanta airport. A 24-month pilot project will explore a ½ mile loop in College Park. Apparently they’re doing a similar project on the Westside Beltline that’s supposed to launch in May.
