Happy Thursday to the East side! Today’s an exciting day. We have our very first Pet of The Week, and an amazing sponsor has stepped up to partner with us…

Shout out to Park Pet Supply, an EAV staple since 1999. Victoria and team have been wonderful to work with. Please give them a visit and tell them the Anthem sent you! Note: they’re currently running a sale for 20% Off all coats, sweaters, and pajamas.

Now let’s get into this week’s edition of the East Atlanta Anthem 👇

The Anthem is made possible in part by El Tesoro. See The Menu.

🌮 This is big. Our friends at El Tesoro are celebrating their 7th anniversary all week with $7 taco plates & $7 house margaritas. Head over to Edgewood this weekend and celebrate with them.

🥇 Moe’s & Joe’s has done it again—they're the #1 seller of PBR in the world for the fourth year in a row!

🥪 Billy’s, the Avondale Estates sandwich slingers, are popping up today (1/22) at Huck’s in East Lake. From 12pm until 1:30pm or until they sell out.

🍕 Grant Central East is offering the Tugboat Willie Special: 2 slices of cheese and a pint of their house brew for $11 through the end of the month.

🍕Speaking of pizza, La Calavera on Memorial got a new pizza oven installed yesterday. If you haven’t tried their sourdough crust, it’s fantastic.

🥣 Casseroles in Morningside whipped up a fresh batch of chili to go along with their typical assortment of soups. Perfect for staying warm this weekend.

☕️ Ash Coffee dropped their Winter Menu. The Banana Matcha Latte caught our eye…

🎥 Sticking to coffee, did anyone else see Perc show up in the behind the scenes doc Netflix put out celebrating the final season of Stranger Things?

🍽️ Jackalope is popping up at Banshee on Monday 1/26 and the menu just dropped. Connor’s eyeing the cherry chocolate lava cake.

🎶 Southern National is hosting a listening room Saturday brunch on 1/24 featuring @salahananse and a globally-inspired menu.

🚱 Practicing dry January? The AJC has a list of their favorite mocktails around town including La Semila in Reynoldstown, and Soberish is hosting an NA Wine Tasting in Kirkwood this Saturday at noon.

Park Pet Supply has been serving the East Atlanta area since 1999.

Their calling is simple: to help bring whole-body health and happiness to their own pets and those of their customers through researching the best holistic products from brands with sustainable practices - with affordable prices, unparalleled customer service, and giving back to the community.

Introducing… Matisse

Neighborhood: Gresham Park

About: Matisse is pure personality wrapped in wrinkles and charm. He loves every person he meets, spreads sweetness wherever he goes, and never turns down a good dress-up costume.

Special Talent: Every time he spots a dog on TV, he loses his mind—jumping around like the pup is right there ready to play. TV dogs are very real to him.

Thank you to Sharon B. for sharing Matisse with us. If you want your pet featured in the Park Pet Supply Pet of the Week section of the Anthem, fill out this form!
