Remember how foggy it was on Monday morning? That’s how my brain’s felt all week — I blame the clocks (although a 2-year-old with a cough does not help).

But it finally feels like Spring is here, and it marks an important occasion of 2026: the first mention of a Gimlet cocktail in the Anthem. As true a sign of Spring as pink peach blossoms. -James

Now let’s get into this week’s edition of the Anthem 👇

The Anthem is made possible in part by El Tesoro, a neighborhood treasure serving good quality food at reasonable prices. See The Menu.

🌮 Good news for anyone who likes tacos, margaritas, or patios. El Tesoro extended their hours to welcome in the good weather and extra daylight.

🍺 Pour one out for Brewdog. After a shakeup on the global level, the company has permanently closed their beltline location.

🐷 The Spotted Trotter is now taking pre-orders for Easter. Or any other gatherings you’ve got going on this spring.

☕️ San Francisco Coffee dropped their Spring 2026 menu. 7 new drinks that are impossible for us to summarize here. See for yourself.

🥧 Whoopsies on Moreland added Onion Pie and Creamed Spinach to the menu.

🍓Speaking of Strawberries, Strawberry Sliders are back on the menu at Revolution Doughnuts.

Raani Coffee is popping up at Chai Pani in Decatur today & tomorrow from 11am-2:30pm. If you’ve been wanting to try them out, get over there!

🍽️ Poor Hendrix kicked off a new weekend tradition: Sunday Supper. Seasonal Salad, French Dumplings, and Dessert for $30/person washed down with with $25 bottles of house vino.

🌮 Poco Loco just dropped Salmon Chicharrones Tacos as this week's lunch special. Crispy salmon, salsa avocado, salsa yucatan, molino corn tortillas. Available through Friday.

🍋‍🟩 El Myriachi’s got a new drink to get you in the mood for spring. The Verde Gimlet.

🛢️ Little Cottage has a new barrel-aged Imperial French Toast Stout for the beer enthusiasts on the list. A limited number of bottles sold out online but you can also try it in the taproom beginning at noon on Saturday.

🦞 Banshee has announced that their Lobster Risotto is leaving the menu soon and also that Jackalope will be back on 3.23.26 for another popup.

🍤 Stroud Eats is popping up through Sunday at Sceptre. Expect Southern & Gulf Coast Cajun inspired food including wings, sammies, tacos & more. Menu here.

🥪 Breaker Breaker’s unleashed a new menu bringing back Blackened Grouper along with some newness: Nashville Hot Fish & Beef Debris Dip.

Introducing… Oscar

Neighborhood: Decatur

About: Oscar is an 8 YO Cavachon. He was found in Newnan at a rescue group there. I got him when he was 1.5. He’s very social, silly, and loud.

Special Talent: He is an expert sleeper and sleeps about 20 hours a day.

Fun Fact: He constantly carries his “babies” around the house, bringing them from room to room.

Thank you to Dani for sharing Oscar with us.
