Good morning East Atlanta! Connor here.
Whew. You guys wore me out this weekend. I thought I was going to get 10-15 requests for copies of our May Anthem Almanac, but I got 124.
I hand-delivered 75 and had to call it quits. My lovely assistant wife Colin and I gave it our best shot. Some of you guys live in fancy gated communities, apartments I couldn’t access, and Stone Mountain was just not in the cards for us last weekend.
I have to say… It’s exciting to see how many of you want something in print from the Anthem… more to come on that one of these days… 👀
Alrighty… time get into this week’s edition of the Anthem 👇
One last thing… Happy Birthday to Anthem reader Olivia B. (4/26)!

Introducing… Winnie
Neighborhood: East Lake
About: Meet Winnie, a 12-year-old pug born on Christmas Day (yes, she’s literally a gift!). Winnie’s passions include naps, cuddles, Skiptown adventures, and most importantly, snacks. Every morning begins with a well-earned bone, and lately she’s decided one before bed is not a request but a non‑negotiable lifestyle requirement.
Winnie is a sophisticated lady. She knows exactly what she likes, expects it on schedule, and has no problem making her demands known. While she may be a bit socially awkward around most other pets, don’t let that fool you. She has a few boyfriends and absolutely thrives on attention from humans. Truly, nothing makes her happier than being lovingly admired by every person within reach.
In fact, we’re pretty sure Winnie believes she is a human or at least a very distinguished one who deserves constant affection and premium treat service. Confident, cozy, and completely iconic, Winnie is living her best pug life.
Fun Fact: Winnie is a New York girl at heart, big attitude in a little pug body. With parents named Frisky (dad) and Autumn (mom), sass was clearly in her DNA.
Thank you to Chris & Dedra for sharing Winnie with us.

🔥 You may have noticed a smoky haze over Atlanta yesterday. Unfortunately, that was smoke from 100+ wildfires breaking out in South Georgia. We’re still under a “red flag warning” due to the severe lack of rain this Spring. Hopefully the predicted rains for Saturday ease the current situation.
