Good morning to all 3,208 of you! 📈📈📈
It’s kind of wild to think that more people subscribe to the Anthem than attend two of the schools in the Men’s NCAA Tournament this year…. Furman (2,268 students) and Queens University (1,300).
Another fun way to think about it is that if the Anthem was playing at the Earl, we could string together 10 straight sold-out shows…
Alright, let’s get into this week’s edition of the Anthem 👇

The Anthem is made possible in part by El Tesoro, a neighborhood treasure serving good quality food at reasonable prices. See The Menu.
🍍 Last week, we told you about the White Mustang being back at El Tesoro. Naturally, I had to go try one… Really, really good. Nice and refreshing, not overpowering. Highly recommend grabbing one with a mulita and hanging on the patio. - Connor
🦋 It’s Restaurant Week in Inman Park! Expect special menus and celebrations at Bar Taco, Barcelona, Beetlecat, Fritti, Folk Art, Kitty Dare, Pure Taqueria, Wrecking Bar Brewpub, Sotto Sotto, Wisteria, and more.
🍷 Speaking of Kitty Dare, if you want to try some interesting wines, pop over this evening for another Bar Takeover, this time by Booker Wines.
🦀 Fans of the EAV collective formerly known as We Suki Suki may recall Mushi Ni, a regular vendor before things fell apart. They opened their first standalone store in Inman Park on Tuesday. I used to absolutely destroy their baos and look forward to visiting - James.
📚 Award-winning Buckhead restaurant Lucian Books and Wine is opening a sister restaurant called Sargent in O4W this summer.
🦐 We’re hitting the peak of Crawfish season and Tio Luchos is throwing a party. Head over on Sunday for La Napa Crawfish Boil from 1 til close.
🍸 Banshee is now serving the Careless Whisper cocktail. Love the sound of it, love the graphic highlighting each ingredient.
☕ Harbor Coffee just launched their spring craft menu with an Orange Creamsicle Latte, a Fruit of the Loop Latte (yes, like the cereal), and a house-made Hibiscus Lemonade.
🍳 Tired of cooking dinner? Check out Oakhurst Market’s weekly suppers.
🥕 Head over to New Realm Brewing on Saturday for their Vegetarian Food Festival & Southeast Rare Plant Market for crave-worthy veggie dishes from local vendors & “a curated selection of rare plants you won’t find just anywhere.”
⛹️♀️ Jolene Jolene, Atlanta’s first and only bar for women’s sports has launched a Kickstarter in a final push to open their own permanent location.
Anthem Introductions are brought to you by Vela Park. Vela Park is now leasing brand new apartments and townhomes in East Lake. And we all know that life is better when you love your neighborhood and your neighbors. Learn more about Vela Park and their new food hall here.
Speaking of good neighbors, it’s time to meet Taylor Gilliam.
📅 If a friend were visiting for one day, where would you take them?
Coffee at Joe’s, a walk through the Beltline/Glenwood Park, and ending the night with live music at 529.
📪 A small thing about your neighborhood that brings you joy.
The creative mailboxes and the local cats that everyone seems to know by name.

Introducing… Remy
Neighborhood: Kirkwood
About: Remy is a 7-year-old Africanis who lives in Kirkwood. She was born in Ntekete, Zambia, where I (her human mother) was serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Remy joined my little family when she was only four weeks old because her dog mother had abandoned her litter.
When she was a year old, she moved from Zambia to Michigan, and later to Atlanta. While she does enjoy zooming around in the snow, she’s happier living in Atlanta where the climate is closer to her native Zambia. In Atlanta, she likes going for hikes at Sweetwater Creek.
Thank you to Julia for sharing Remy with us.
